I learned two things this evening

  1. Although the emergency exit row on an airplane offers more leg room, it does not offer more vertical space with which to not hit your head.
  2. Changing your computer’s time zone also changes its calendar’s time zone.  (Google Calendar, on the other hand, politely asks if you would like to change time zones.)
You would think that after many flights between the central and eastern time zones, I would have realized these two facts.
